Ultimate Coders Alberta

We hold the Ultimate Coders regional master franchise for Alberta through UC Alberta Inc., and we run two centres of our own in Edmonton.

The master franchise

We secured the Alberta regional master franchise in 2025, through UC Alberta Inc., a WYU Holdings company. Ultimate Coders' head office supplies the brand, the curriculum and the operating systems. We hold the province and develop territories within it.

Alberta is divided into ten territories. Two are open and run by us, one is held by another operator, and seven are not yet assigned, mainly in and around Edmonton and Calgary.

Alberta today

Alberta grew faster than any other province in the year to July 1, 2026: 1.5%, against 0.5% for Canada, to 5,101,050 people (Statistics Canada).

Its schools enrolled 836,301 students in 2025/26 (Alberta Education, preliminary). Coding is now part of the classroom: the kindergarten to Grade 6 science curriculum includes computer science, with students creating code in Grade 5 (Alberta Education).

Our two centres

  • Ultimate Coders Edmonton SW

A coding and math centre in southwest Edmonton that we own and run, opened in 2024. Students aged 5 to 18 learn in small groups of six students to each instructor.

  • Ultimate Coders Edmonton West

Our second Ultimate Coders centre, which we own and run, opened in October 2025 with the same small-group coding and math classes.

What the centres teach

Three coding tiers run as a ladder: Junior Thinker for ages 5 to 7, Junior Creator for ages 7 to 14 across thirteen levels, and Ultimate Innovator for ages 14 to 18. Ultimate Math runs alongside it: small-group math for grades 1 to 8, twenty levels, taught against the provincial curriculum, taken on its own or with a coding enrolment.

Robotics runs through the ladder, from programming a Dash robot and building with Snap Circuits in Junior Thinker to Arduino and micro:bit in Junior Creator. Camps, PA days, after-school sessions, birthday parties and parents' night out run alongside, so a centre is in use outside school hours and through the breaks.
